Women of Vision Gala - May 8, 2008
The 15th Annual Women of Vision Awards Benefits Gala recognized the outstanding work of actress Patty Duke, documentarians Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady of Loki Films, Susan Lacy, the Creator and Series Producer of American Masters, and businesswoman Linda Maslow of The Maslow Media Group Inc.
The evening was a success thanks to the more than 300 guests who welcomed the honorees and support WIFV. The event could not have happened without the efforts of amazing WIFV members who volunteered their time and expertise to make it all happen.

Women in Film & Video of Washington, DC (WIFV) is an active non-profit organization run by a volunteer Board of Directors elected by its membership. Its membership includes dynamic professionals who represent every aspect of the industry - from producers and directors to accountants and laywers, from camera and sound technicians to actors and animators. WIFV is a chapter of Women in Film & Television International (WIFTI), a network of nearly 40 chapters around the world.

WIFV Mission
WIFV is dedicated to advancing the professional development and achievement for women working in all areas of film, television, video, multimedia, and related disciplines. WIFV supports women in the industry by promoting equal opportunities, encouraging professional development, serving as an information network, and educating the public about women's creative and technical achievements.
IMAGE MAKERS
Image Makers is a community outreach program of WIFV. Its mission is to expose local youth to television and video production through creation of public service announcements that benefit area non-profit organizations. Applications for WIFV volunteers and students are available in the Image Makers section (see above).
