WIFV committees are an excellent way to network and share your expertise with other media professionals. With just two full-time staff members, WIFV committees and volunteers are essential to our high-quality professional development and public events. Participation on committees is open to every member.
The WIFV Marketing/Communications Committee oversees the public face of WIFV managing social media and promotional materials. It also assists the other WIFV committees with their outreach needs.
The Development Committee is responsible for ensuring WIFV’s financial viability through fundraising, maintaining ongoing relationships with corporate sponsors and nurturing strategic partnerships.
The Membership Committee recruits, retains and communicates with members. This committee surveys members, assists the executive director with membership recruiting at events and secures member benefits, including industry discounts.
The Programming Committee is in charge of producing and managing nearly 70 high-quality networking, professional development and special events each year. These programs promote the advancement and professional development of women in the film and video industry.
This is the committee that keeps WIFV Members informed about international production opportunities and Women in Film & Television International (WIFTI). It provides programming about working in other parts of the world and co-hosts screenings with the embassies in our area.

The Women of Vision events pay tribute to the outstanding achievements of women in film, video, and related disciplines. This Committee coordinates the live events that spotlight these trailblazers.
