It's part of our 45th Anniversary Year where we will host four newsworthy panels to share how our filmmakers capture and make history through their powerful storytelling.

This panel features filmmakers whose groundbreaking films focused on the injustices faced by Indigenous peoples of America, sparking vital conversations on policy reform and fairness.

This past weekend, WIFV's executive director, Meli This past weekend, WIFV's executive director, Melissa Houghton and board member, Sandra Abrams, attended the #DCFilmFest showing of the new #documentary, "Georgia O'Keeffe: The Brightness of Light" at the National Gallery of Art (@ngadc). After the screening, executive producers, Academy Award and Emmy Award-winning Paul Wagner and his wife, Ellen, participated in a Q&A along with NGA's senior art curator, Sarah Greenough and Georgia O'Keeffe scholar, Barbara Buhler Lynes who are also featured in the film. It was so exciting to learn more about this important woman artist who did things her way. Actress @clairedanes provides the voice of O'Keeffe and #HughDancy is the narrator.
