WIFV committees are an excellent way to network and share your expertise with other media professionals. With just two full-time staff members, WIFV committees and volunteers are essential to provision of our high-quality professional development and public events. Participation on committees is open to every member.

Communications Committee

The WIFV Communications Committee oversees the public face of WIFV managing social media and promotional materials. It also assists the other WIFV committees with their outreach needs. Candice Bloch/Tara Jabbari, Co-Chairs

Development Committee

The Development Committee is responsible for ensuring WIFV’s financial viability through fundraising, maintaining ongoing relationships with corporate sponsors and nurturing strategic partnerships.

Inclusion Committee

The Inclusion Committee Ensures that WIFV programs, services, initiatives, and representations reflect the diversity of the communities we serve. Alyscia Cunningham, Chair

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee recruits, retains and communicates with members. This committee surveys members, assists the executive director with membership recruiting at events and secures member benefits, including industry discounts. Sandra Brennan, Chair

Mentorship Committee

The Mentorship Committee identified and coordinates Mentors and Mentees for the annual nine-month mentorship program. Applications are accepted once per year.  Sheila Smith, Chair

Programming Committee

The Programming Committee is in charge of producing and managing nearly 90 high-quality networking, professional development and special events each year. These programs promote the advancement and professional development of women in the film and video industry. Alison Bauer, Chair

Women of Vision Awards Committee

The Women of Vision events pay tribute to the outstanding achievements of women in film, video, and related disciplines. This Committee coordinates the live events that spotlight these trailblazers.
